There is no school that can teach you the things found in this book. You must learn as you go or get this one-of-a-kind book to give you practical guidance before you embark on the road to becoming an onsite manager. At the same time, it validates those who had to learn the hard way and will give those who are new to their role as a Resident Manager a leg up in making themselves more valuable to those who are hiring.
Although it is not intended to cover all the details involved is the systems you will encounter, that kind of specificity is more than this book can provide and is best left to professionals, it does describe such things as booster pumps, hot water heating, elevator operation, and other systems, sufficient for your role as an on-site manager.
The title, "Winning the Condo Management Game," was chosen as it is intended to let the reader know that he or she will need to be informed of the other "players" that are involved in the management of an Association of Apartment Owners and that the whole process is best served when all the parts work together in harmony and understanding.
The book has twenty-one chapters covering a wide variety of subjects, from both the management side as well as the practical hands-on things that can, if made a part of your skillset, save the Association money, and enhance your value.
