Beskrivelse
This volume is a collection of papers presented during the study day 'Transfrontier Mobility of Law' held at the Erasmus University Rotterdam on 23 September 1994 and includes an additional paper prepared by Professor P. Legrand who made a valuable contribution to the discussion on that occasion. It shows the range of interests that can fit under such an umbrella title.Transfrontier mobility of law is a most fruitful field where researchers will reap rewarding crops. There is a need, however, for a new analytical framework. Many aspects of the new moves have different features from those of the earlier migration of legal institutions. All these papers help the reader to see the universality of the problems in transfrontier mobility of law, how very interesting such movements are, not just in historical terms but also in the making, and how there is indeed a universal need for a wider analytical framework to assess future developments. The postscript section of the volume gives an overview of the discussions that took place on that day.
