TRAINING FOR EMPLOYABILITY: WHAT COMPANIES LOOK FOR

This book consists of a compilation of the theories of different fields today to understand how training affects employability in the labor market. The different fields of study that have been taken are the economic one where economic development and trade theories have been studied and sociological fields where the context and definition of the concepts of employability and training are determined. After this, he has specialized in studying the cases of the labor market in Spain, Germany and Switzerland. Finally, some conclusions have been reached, among which it should be noted that training does not only mean schooling but can be self-taught and it is important to have a series of psychological characteristics to adapt to a certain job position. Employability is conditioned by factors internal and external to the person and the country. This is demonstrated in different economic theories in which according to the regulatory, political, cooperation, strategy and benefit framework, the supply and demand of employment are adjusted to guarantee employability. According to data obtained from the OECD, the total population in Switzerland and in Spain is approximately constant from 2005 to 2018, including these years both times of recession and economic boom. However, in Germany the population in times of crisis is reduced. In Spain and Switzerland, despite the total population being constant, flows of movements between populations of different age ranges are seen due to the fact that when the economic situation changes, the labor market changes. It is worth mentioning the case that young people go abroad in the case of Spain and people with an average age leave Switzerland and other younger ones enter.
