The present slim volume, Top Reasons Your Business Still Has No Customers, came about as a result of a, "practice what you preach" sort of thing. Knowing the terribly fickle nature of the economy, customer/guest loyalty, and the restaurant business (service businesses) in general: I rather voraciously ensure I'm as current as I can be with what is going on the world around me. Because of this, I rely heavily on the information sent to me through Google Alerts, in areas that are not only meaningful to me personally, but in those I have also capitalized on to position my business as truly unique in the community. The article that inspired this book, as noted in its preface, entitled, Top 10 Reasons Customers Have No Idea Your Business Exists, written by Hannah Whittenly, sparked a conversation with my contributing editor, Carl. Together, we further developed the dozen reasons contained in this book from our experiences, to provide practical and actionable ideas that are meant to be motivational in helping you gain a more profitable foothold in your community for your business.
