Ron Rogers is the best jockey in the Dallas County, thanks to his riding partner, Anvil, and together they broke the record for the fastest horse in any dressage contest. Anvil is a five-time consecutive horse racing champion, a pedigree achieved effortlessly. Awarded the highest honours by the Dallas and the Samaritan of England racing associations for spectacular performances on the track, Anvil quickly became the favourite of betting companies across the United States.
After winning one of the most spectacular races for the season Anvil suffered unexpected cardiac failure and died immediately despite relentless efforts by paramedics to revive her. The emotional loss affected Ron's ability to continue riding as he struggled with bouts of situational depression and had to quit horse racing for good.
