The Strength of Weakness

The Liahona represents a "small and simple thing" which God provided and enabled with one-way text messaging and global positioning direction, so to speak, but was powered not by a battery but by the faith and obedient diligence of Lehi and his family while they journeyed in the wilderness to the land of promise. The faith of Lehi and his family was powered by their humility before the Lord..... The Lord blesses us with "small and simple things" in our "weakness" so that we can depend upon Him as the only true source and cause of change and progress unto perfection.
