Evie Ballenger has been living life to the bare minimum. Retiring

her heart horse has left her doubtful she can ever make it as an

event rider. She's convinced herself working in the Thoroughbred

business is good enough. After all, she gets paid to ride horses.

How much more could she ask for?



But when Evie's cousin dangles the potential to ride an event

horse way out of her financial league, it's a carrot too juicy to

resist. There's a caveat to acquiring this horse: he's already

booked with notorious grump and top event rider Malcolm

Horsham. Evie finds she's not ready to give up on her eventing

dreams after all, but her simple life is about to get complicated.
