Layla Patel's life in New Tork has completely fallen apart. Heartbroken and jobless, Layla returns home to San Fransisco, where her family owns a successful Indian restaurant. Her devoted father wishes for nothing more than to make Layla happy again and decides to help her out in several ways: he offers Layla the use of the office above the restaurant as a place where she can start up her own new business and he arranges a series of blind dates for her.
