The book Lord's Prayer: Live It or Quit Saying It is a challenging book that attracts our interest mainly because it is full of reflections on many questions arising from the present society. This book gives us much more than mere spiritual reflections, as it gives us a meaningful experience of God the Father and invites us to reflect on the significance of our lives based on the lived spiritual experience of many ordinary individuals; it poses simple but profound challenges before us to move close to Jesus Christ. It exhorts that without a vision of heaven, our life can be a big loss. Congratulating Shri Matthew Palai for this precious endeavor, I recommend this book to all who are seriously thinking about a meaningful spiritual life.

In a nutshell, the Lord's Prayer is like an antibiotic. If an antibiotic does not work for you, then it will work against you. If you do not try to live what you pray, then it is better not to say the Lord's Prayer because instead of saving your soul, it will endanger it. If you do good deeds and charitable works to go to heaven, you will not get admittance to heaven, and this book tells you why. If you rely only on prayers to go to heaven, the gates of heaven will not be opened for you, and this book tells you why. The existence of God, existence and immortality of soul, life after death, hell, heaven, etc. are unverifiable, yet we should live as if they are all real, and this book tells you why. This book tells you how to become worthy to say the Lord's Prayer so that it does not endanger the soul but delivers it salvation.
