In a world where social injustices and corruption are rife, where respect for authority is dying, where the rich are only concerned with retaining and accruing more wealth and where immigrants of an alien culture are steadily multiplying strife is inevitable. As ever, throughout history, the time brings forward the one man who alone is capable of attempting the necessary reforms to restore what he can from the wreck of a once great culture. This is the tale of a man who attempts the impossible and very nearly succeeds, a man of humble origins who sees and views the ineffectuality's of the established powers with contempt and does what he knows he must to set affairs in some sort of order.
