Do you love peacocks? The peacock bird can symbolize many things such as grace, beauty, compassion, prosperity and peace; it is often featured in rangoli folk art patterns. This coloring book contains twenty beautiful hand drawn rangoli inspired drawings of peacocks to color for fun and relaxation.
Peacocks are important in Indian culture and are found in various temple arts, poetry, folk music, mythology and cultural traditions, and was declared the national bird of India in 1963. Peacock rangoli designs are a part of many Indian festivals such as Diwali, Dussehra, New Year, Onam, Pongal and many others. Rangoli is the expression of art through color. In different regions of India it is called Kolam, Madana, Chowkpurna, Alpana, Aripana etc.
These drawings are suitable for coloring with markers (recommend placing one or more extra blank pages included in the book underneath the drawing in case of bleed-through), gel pens or colored pencils.
