They looked at each other and Caitlyn looked down. 'She's going to turn out like me, isn't she? The young girl? What of the mother? They are trespassers but they don't know it. Word around town is that they are from a big city up north, and the girl is set to be some kind of a figure skater. I've seen the barn. It's been converted into an ice rink for the girl.' Robert seemed lost in thought and said, 'Only time will tell. For now, all we can do is watch and observe. With the woods cut down around the place, our existence is threatened, should we return here. The stories were supposed to be handed down, from generation to generation. The warnings were not heeded. I am not sure what that means for the people, here. These are new times with new people with a new set of playing rules. These people are not malevolent like their ancestors. They were cruel. These people? Especially our houseguests? They are merely decoration for us to observe and marvel as we watch them grow and die, become legends in their own rights, from what I read on the tombstones.'
