This is the sixth book in The Funny side of series, by author John L D Barnett which takes another poke at English History. This very funny fully coloured cartoon illustrated book takes you back to the Arab uprising in Saudi Arabia during the First World War when our hero whom the author has named "Florence of Arabia VC." ( VOLUNTEERING CROSS ), tries his hardest to avoid any kind of involvement in the desert war between the ruling Turkish forces and the Arabian forces. Lieutenant Florence and his faithful camel Private Humphrey of the British Army Intelligence Corps are ordered by their senior officer General Nuisance, to supervise the Arab forces attack on Aqaba, a city situated on the Gulf of Aqaba. This is another very funny book in the series which I am sure will capture every reader's imagination .
