Beskrivelse
In 2018 Dr. Suraj "Sonny" Sharma is opening a free health clinic for the homeless in San Francisco. Dr. Sonny grew up as an orphan but discovers his father's past through his letters to his son, written about Gandhi's ashram in India and the Vietnam War era. In the letters, we meet Vimal, a strict Brahman, who refuses to do ordinary work at the ashram, Gandhi and his wife disagreeing on matters of celibacy, a sweet mother named Madhu, which means "honey" and a sister named Avani which means "earth." It is a touching generational story. Dr. Sonny's clinic is his life's work: It started with a diamond in India.
