The story is set within a 1km radius of where the authors live on the Costa Blanca in Spain. All of the places mentioned in the story are real and many of the characters are the authors' friends and neighbours. The story: Claudia Vagner could not believe her ears when she heard her father's deathbed revelation. As a South African, she had always known about the story of the missing Kruger Millions, but was her father really saying that the legend is true? He claimed he knew exactly where the old South African Republic's missing gold reserves were and had left his only daughter a very cryptic clue as to its whereabouts. Before she knew it, Claudia was on her way to Altea, a sleepy little town on the Costa Blanca. What she didn't know as she arrived in Spain, was that there were others interested in the missing treasure and they would kill to protect their claim on it.
