The Cherry Tree in the Nuthouse is the true story of God personally visiting a group of patients housed in the "adult unit" of Research Psychiatric Center in Kansas City, MO, for several days in 2014.
The life-altering event is told from the perspective of Jennifer Morrison, a fifty-four-year-old pillar of the community, who is stripped of all pride when she finds herself admitted (against her will) to a "nuthouse" for taking too much sleep medicine. This is the fourth trip to a mental health hospital for Jennifer in her decades-long effort to be free of her secret fear, anxiety, depression, guilt and despair . . . and tormenting insomnia.
