When his parents are killed on a colony mission through the black hole, Ivan is drafted as a pilot for the Junior Rangers. On the latest mission, colonists are pulled into the middle of a planet wide civil war. During the fighting, Junior Rangers discover that their doctor's neural scanner produces files that can be imported into a mech's brain.
