Beskrivelse

Positions of Leadership and Management are very desirable to so many people, for one major reason - they get to 'call the shots as the 'Big Boss', and decide the 'fate' of (what happens to) other people. Being the Leader or Manager also means nobody else gets to call unwelcome shots over you or decide your fate.Positions of leadership confer such great power and authority on the Leader that practically makes them seem to be 'above the law'; simply because 'they may choose to make themselves the law'. Most Leaders like to only make laws that will favor them before anyone else; and that is even if it will ever favor anyone else outside themselves, their group/sphere of influence or family, friends, gangs, cult or class. There are even many others who are so interested in being in leadership for the sole purpose of enriching themselves through bribes/kickbacks, embezzlement of funds entrusted in their care and coercing/forcing gifts out of the people they are supposed to be leading or taking care of. Some seek to be in leadership in order to simply be above any law, and so avoid accountability or any form of punishment that may result from their intended atrocities (wrong-doings). Many people do not agree that leadership is meant to be a service to others - to defend those that cannot defend themselves, provide for those that cannot provide for themselves, direct those who are unsure of the right way to go, or to give encouragement, healing, and hope to the down-trodden (those beaten down by the challenges of life). Many people will lie, cheat, steal, bribe, maim, kill, and destroy anything or anyone on their way to getting into positions of leadership, because they tell themselves that 'the end justifies the means', i.e. they really do not care what they do on their way of getting to their leadership goal. Many will even sell themselves, their principles, honor, faith, body, family, spouse, children or soul in order to attain some high levels of leadership, success, fame, or wealth etc. Some other's seek positions of leadership for a sense of belonging among some very select few 'at the top'. The top is made to look so glamorous that some will do the unthinkable in order to 'belong'. And when they finally 'belong' in such leadership circles, but then find out some terrible things that those in their 'select group' have done or continue to do, they simply 'turn the other eye' and tell themselves that 'everyone is doing it or will do the same when they get to those heights'.The question for each of us to ask ourselves and personally honestly answer is, 'why do I seek positions of leadership, management, success, fame, wealth, or governance? Do I intend to use it to oppress others, dominate others, help others, make other's feel great about themselves or feel less than a human being; make others believe in themselves or make them feel like failures and nobody's in life?' There is a much accomplished world leader that I also personally met some time ago as he alighted from his private jet at one of the Regional Airports that only catered to those with private jets in the States. There were about thirty (30) people there to welcome him at the foot of the jet, even though he knew and only expected five (5) people, and none of the rest of the twenty five (25). Yet, when he alighted from the jet, he didn't just greet the five people he knew and expected to only see, but he took the time to personally greet and shake hands with everyone there. In spite of being an extremely successful person, he is yet one of the most humble persons on the face of the earth. Yet, there are so many people under him in his organization who have not attained 1/1000th of his level of success, but who are profoundly rude/proud and snobbish at other people they consider themselves more successful than. His name is E.A. Adeboye (1942 - ), fondly called Daddy G.O. (General Overseer) by many. What will you do in your position as a Leader?
