Life in the City of Magic is never boring!
It's not easy being a watchman in Marudal, famed City of Magic. Arranged in an episodic format, The Adventures of Iric takes you on a classic fantasy adventure, in small, easy to digest pieces. Following the new tradition of flash fiction, these short stories start quick and never let up. Fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld will find themselves rooting for the young watchman as he takes on crime and magic alike. Follow along as Iric learns what it takes to patrol the streets in the City of Magic.
This volume also contains collected material set in the traditional fantasy world of Marudal. These stories have been published in a variety of magazines and ezines including Empyreome Magazine, the Bards and Sages Quarterly, Corner Bar Magazine, Fantasia Divinity Magazine, Tall Tale TV, Antipodean SF, and more. The stories collected here are supplemental and prequel material for the short story novel In the Valley of Magic, which features many of the same characters introduced here and serves as the dramatic end to Iric's story.
