Beskrivelse
"Tales Told Along the Way - Whitefish Six Pack" is a collection of six short stories about Whitefish and the Whitefish Range to its northwest. These six stories are set in the Whitefish area of the past before a brash railroad and lumber town was transformed into a sophisticated destination ski resort. The stories concern many of the colorful characters that once tramped the muddy streets of a town etched overnight out of a wilderness just a few years earlier. The stories portray the area through the eyes of many who were longtime residents of the area in the 1980s and whose memories went back to a few years after Whitefish's settlement. The story "Skiing Past" is almost entirely taken from notes taken from interviews with some founders of The Big Mountain Ski Area; George Prentice, Ed Schenk and Mully Muldown. A view of the area's past is portrayed along with its beauty that endures to this day.
