Supply chain management of holm oak timber

The optimisation of the forestry logistics chain contributes to the development of the economic potential of the private forest in the Ait M'hamed commune, which requires the effective intervention of various partners in the management of this natural heritage. Following our documentary analysis and interviews with forestry officials, the optimisation of the management of wood deposits by the State (High Commission for Water, Forests and the Fight against Desertification) for the benefit of forestry operators remains one of the operational solutions to the challenges of efficient management of supplies, storage and distribution of wood and coal. The involvement of the university and forestry research and development centres would actively participate in the development of products extracted from private forests, and study the impact of supply chain optimisation on socio-economic conditions. From a sustainable development point of view, this research can propose income-generating products that can substitute wood.
