Severed Flame

Through the dripping sweat of their colliding flesh and to spite all the outdated laws of their long separated clans, one witch and one wizard will remain defiant within each other's arms in a time when such shared passion was punishable by death. But when those two hearts that were so brazenly beating in unison ultimately become split apart as conflict erupts between their two clans, the devotion of this witch is left mired with loneliness. Left in the place of her former lover is nothing but desolation and gore, a horrific massacre of the most grievous kind. Yet a lone symbol carved within the dirt may be just enough to bring this witch the hope she needs to begin her quest of somehow reconnecting their abruptly severed flame. So, through a land being remolded by fire and reshaped by some ancient form of long forgotten magic, from deadly predators to a forest designed to kill any who entered it, finding both friend and foe alike along the way, this lone witch must bravely fight her way through a continent filled with grave dangers if she ever wished to see this wizard again. This is the story of one witch's struggle to touch once more the love that she'd lost, an agonizing chronicle of history left shrouded by age's past. This is the tragical tale of Varilya and Vanicus.
