Beskrivelse
Using data from archaeological surveys conducted during the late 80s, this volume charts the ebb and flow of human population in this part of Upper Mesopotamia. It considers the archaeological landscape, water exploitation and the changes in each period studied, giving a picture of the settlement, land use and communications in the area through time. The archaeological landscape, when reviewed in conjunction with the settlement and artefact record, provides a framework for assessing ancient economy and demography from the early post glacial period until late Islamic times.
