Beskrivelse
Poetry. Asian & Asian American Studies. This new collection contains seven chapters of bilingual poems. Beginning with a long narrative poem, Song of the Wild Land is a poetic travelogue drafted in 2014 after a journey taken by the author with schoolmates back to the remote village in China, where they were sent for re-education through physical labour in the 1970s after the Cultural Revolution. Poems in this collection were inspired by various human conditions, including precious moments, unforgettable meetings, helpless despair when losing loved ones, and emotional desperation.
