RONI Takes Action: A Call To Action For A Young Girl Who Is Overweight is a story about a young girl who is overweight and is teased by schoolmates and embarrassed by her unsatisfactory school physical fitness report. With the help of a dietitian, Roni and her family take action to improve their food and lifestyle choices for better health.
Key components of a wellness strategy are presented, including dietary elements and suggestions for physical and recreational activity. Thirty questions are listed to help children and their families probe into daily activities and relationships for food and lifestyle improvement.
The Roni Children's Book Series shares insights about a child who is overweight in relation to social situations, athletic performance, food and lifestyle choices, social interactions, and more. The colorful books, illustrated by artist Rob Peters, are suitable and encouraged for all children.
