Restoring Trust

Restoring Trust begins by exploring precolonial African traditions prior to Christianity. It proceeds by considering the role of settlers and/or pioneer missionaries in the deconstruction of certain sections of the culture, religion, and African traditions. The intricate details of cultural and religious undertones led to the upheavals that followed church planting and its consequences on the proliferation of prosperity churches in Africa. More than a conceptual analysis is offered in this book. It takes a fresh look at the contextualization of the Gospel and the Church, making that practice come alive in order to help one better understand and effectively refute inadequate Bible teaching in Africa.
