The novel directly discusses death with complete genuineness and bravery, and delivers his thoughts on life from the width and height of philosophy. The whole book consists of imaginary dialogues between father and the son, which''s divided into two parts. The first part''s the memory about the growth of his son, while the second part''s imagination of his son''s entry into paradise. The first half''s based on reality, while the second part''s based on imagination, which jointly constitute Zhou Daxin''s painful memory of his son and thorough reflection of his parenting as a father. The book also contains in-depth thoughts on life and death as well as living and love.
