Every single one of us has felt the weight of negative emotion. For myself, Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has always been coupled with a wealth of destructive feelings. Individuals suffering from ADHD are often subjected to a variety of adverse life consequences and underachievement due to our neuropsychological impairments. It is challenging to move beyond the pain when the pain swelters at our inner core. Still, we are not alone in our desire to thrive outside of the cesspool of negativity. Turmoil caused by childhood trauma, a diagnosis, a recent loss, or a national disaster creates a void where negativity can be cultivated and become a cancer spreading throughout our lives.
It is always my quest to move beyond the negativity of my diagnosis and thrive in the impossibilities of my greatest desires. Through this book I am sharing with you coping skills to manage and release negative emotions. Learning to release our negative emotions effectively is the first step in the healing of our mind, body, and spirit.
The daily battle between who we are and who we desire to be is not lost in failure but in the inability to try again. If you struggle with negative emotions this book is for you, for us, as we try again. Together we will learn how to effectively move from a negative focus to a positive one. And with this positive perspective we will create the forward momentum necessary to accomplish our heart's desire.
