Queen Anne's Love

Anne is considered the most popular girl in Colombia School for Ladies. Despite her poor health and plump body she is the idol of the school and even called "Queen" by the students. She had admirers and rivals at every turn and spends more of her time enjoying herself outside of class fraternizing than she does actually learning anything, but that does nothing to dent her popularity.

Much to the chagrin of her best friend and lover, Sarah. She has been riding Anne's skirts into high society for years. Previously Anne's only confidant now that she is interacting with other people more regularly it's quickly becoming clear to Anne that maybe their friendship had dimmed and Sarah has become more concerned on what Anne can do for her rather than wish her. It is even possible that their friendship was based more on a lack of options than the two having much in common at all.

And she's not the only one.

The other girls have noticed the coldness growing between Anne and Sarah. While Sarah desperately splits her time between trying to schmooze her way into high society on her friend's name and keep Anne's attention the school's alphas are circling and none too subtle about their plans to push Sarah from her place at Anne's side and quickly fill the void. A smart young business woman who offers Anne opportunities at wealth and power. A brutish but loving sports star. A foreign princess with a wild side. A famous actress with romance in her soul. A teacher whose childlike delight at the world is truly infectious. A younger admirer and genius. An older woman who would gladly sweep her away to a tropical paradise with no worries. Those being only the ones willing to step forward, hearts on their sleeves.

Anne wants to be true to her lifelong love and work out their problems, but as Sarah's jealousy and neglect war with seduction and romance as well as friends whispering in her ear and a voice in her head that tells her that maybe she deserves better she begins to wonder if Sarah is still the one. Will Sarah rise to the challenge or lose Anne's heart to someone more deserving?
