Beskrivelse
Rachael Evelyn Booth shares her story of what it's like to be a woman living in a male body, struggling her entire life trying to find a way to fit into the world. From her lonely childhood through her many attempts as an adult to find a way live the role society expected of her, Ms. Booth's story is one of pain, of despair, of hope and of eventual triumph meant to not only help those going through the silent hell of the transgender condition, but also to help others understand and learn to accept their transgender family member or friend trying desperately to cope with this problem. It is both a heartbreaking and heartwarming story told with great humor and total honesty, making it a book that you won't be able to put down. Ms. Booth served as a Chinese and Arabic linguist in the Navy and then, in civilian life, retired after 30 years as a computer scientist working with Naval Shipboard Weapons Systems. A musician, singer, martial artist, and avid outdoorswoman, Ms. Booth lives with her wife, two Golden Retrievers and a cat in the beautiful mountains of New Hampshire.
