Jack Andrews was the eldest of the Andrews brothers. He had already been through one very painful divorce and he vowed he would never do it again. When Emily Hanson stepped into the office, applying for a secretarial position, he knew he was was in big trouble. When he laid eyes on her he wanted instantly to kiss that beautiful smile and he could feel his heart and soul in danger of being taken away. So Jack did what he always did, he took every and any assignment that he could that would take him as far away from home as he possibly could, but he couldn't stay gone forever. Emily had gone through many heartbreaks of losing those around her. First her parents, then her sister and brother-in-law and her brother who she hasn't seen in over four years since he was shipped over seas to Japan on a special military assignment. She couldn't bear to lose someone else in her life, but the moment she saw Jack Andrews she knew she was in danger of doing just that. Maybe it was Jack's persistence in keeping away from her that would keep them both safe from the pain and heartache they had both been through. Was Jack the one that wouldn't leave her as she had lost so many others? She felt in her heart that he would be there forever, so how as she going convince him of the same?
