Our Family

Recorded by a great-grandson, Our Family is the personal account of Otto and Marie Nelson after their emigration from Sweden to the United States in the last part of the 19th century. The book records Otto and Marie's adaptation to the new world, their success as farmers in Michigan's lower peninsula, and the birth of their six children. Our Family locates the Nelsons in the events of their times and records the histories of each of the six children, each history includes a genealogical chart into the family's third generation. The book concludes with lined, blank pages for individual notes.
