Beskrivelse

This is a book about chess openings that is unlike any other book in the world, and with the help of thousands of ours of computer analysis, we believe we have found the moves with the fewest losses for black. For one thing, we took our time to do the analysis right. We used multiple chess engines to play thousands of games over a period of four years and then analyzed the games using a proprietary algorithm to pick the best moves for Black, based upon the outcomes. What Roy and I showed was that that ... e6 is a robust and enormously flexible response against 1. d4. We simply used the computer to develop a profoundly resilient defensive system that is based upon deep computer analysis of the best responses to all of White's best choices for first moves. (I am not a professional player, but I used this system to play Jude Acers in New Orleans to 2 draws in eight games ... see "How I Almost Beat Jude Acers on YouTube.com). For another thing, knowing the first computer moves that have almost no losses when the computer plays against computer, and organizing these moves into our "Best Response Chart," you can gain a tremendous advantage over a human opponent simply by memorizing it. Once you have committed it to memory, if your opponent makes a move that is not the best response, then you can take comfort in knowing that he or she did not respond with the best move possible. Third, this book reprints with permission an article "Computer Analysis of the Relative Value of Pieces" from the ICGA Journal (formerly International Computer Chess Association ICCA). This article gives the results from computer analysis of thousands of master level games for the value of 14 different combinations of pieces on the board. For example, two rooks face a rook and two minor pieces. Or when a queen is stronger than two rooks. Our opening system also documents dozens of games from master level chess, showing what has happened in human games when one of the players deviated from the best response chart. To have a superior advantage over your opponent, play each game in this book to the limit and try to anticipate black's moves. You will see how to win or draw in what looks like a lost position, and your end game knowledge will be greatly enhanced. Your chess knowledge will improve even if you are a Grand Master. Your advantage comes in memorizing the Best Response Chart and then playing through the games. Learn from the computer how it determines threats in each position, and makes the moves that eliminate or minimize the them, and then counter with the move that produces its best chance of winning.
