Amateur ornithologist Malcolm Palmer has worn many hats during his lifetime. Perhaps too many?
Born and raised in Yorkshire, England, he remained on his native soil for most of his life. But at the age of fifty-four, with one failed marriage and another nearing the end of its good run, Malcolm wonders just what is left for him in England. After a brief career in the military, he had a very long stint in construction before being made redundant, and he ended up running a public house to earn his daily bread. Then, circumstances conspired to lead him into coaching his stepdaughter-to athletic triumph. But with his wife now becoming an ex and taking her daughter with her, is it time to start over-again?
The answer is yes. Taking a leap-and his love of birds-Malcolm simply packs up and moves to Spain. His trials with the new culture are humorous and universal, but when he unexpectedly finds love again, they're also heartwarming and inspiring.
A wonderful story about new beginnings and second chances, One-Way Migrant will surprise you as much as it makes you laugh.
