Roscoe sat in Police Detective Bo Atkins's office, asking for help. His girl Misty had gone missing. She hooked in one of his stables. When asked what the man looked like, Roscoe answered, "Dude had gray hair. Big guy. Wore glasses. He had a beard and mustache."
When Roscoe described the pinky ring the man wore, he had Detective Atkins's full attention. One thing Bo Atkins had learned by working the streets of Houston, Texas, and now here in Omaha, Nebraska, is that many of the young kids working the streets were running from a bad home situation or had no one looking after them...They were easy prey to those who wished to do them harm.
Five years ago, Bo had been a young detective on the Houston Task Force. He had befriended a young girl who worked the streets. One of the girls she worked with had gone missing.
