Beskrivelse
The small villages along the River Mimbres in the American southwest produced a unique style of pottery that included geometric designs and images of people, animals and bird life. The pottery of the Mimbrenos, today's Pueblo Indians, has been digitally reconstructed and at times recreated in this book. Steinbach uses the motifs and designs as a window to investigate the life and culture of the Mimbrenos from AD 1000-1150. More than 150 designs are featured, each of which includes a facing-page discussion of its design and motifs.
