Beskrivelse
'Memories of a Rhondda Boy' is an auto-biographical account of the early life of Bryan W. Sheldon. Brought up in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, his grandfather, his father and to a lesser degree, himself, experienced the turbulence of the first half of the 20th century. It was a period in which there were two world wars interspersed with strikes, disputes and conflict. He was born just before the second world war and raised during a period of austerity and rationing. His story, perhaps typical of his generation provides an important insight into the social history of one of the more famous Welsh valleys.
