Madre in Spain

La autora del fenomeno editorial TE DEJO es JODETE al reves nos cuenta la rutina de una madre que, menos sentarse, hace de todo durante el dia. El humor de Senorita Puri conquistara a todas las madres recientes ya las no tan recientes. Ser madre es muy duro (y ser padre tambien; aqui no se libra nadie). Te pasas el dia poniendo lavadoras y planchando y al final se te pone el brazo hiperdesarrollado como a Popeye. Cuando me siento a hablar con mis amigas sobre cine o television, si alguna me pregunta cual es mi programa favorito, le respond que el de prendas delicadas. Ya no salgo por ahi porque me caigo de sueno por las esquinas. Mi fiesta de la espuma es el bano de los ninos y, si me coronasen como Miss Camiseta Mojada, solo seria por la cantidad de lavadoras que pongo. Y de sexo, mejor ni hablamos: cuando tienes crios, tu concepto de pasarlo bien en bolas es ir a la piscina de un chikipark, y echar un polvo mananero es preparar el biberon de la nina. En Madre in Spain me rio de todo esto y de mucho mas porque, admitamoslo, los ninos son maravillosos, pero mucho mas cuando son de otros. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Being a mother is very hard (and being a father, too; here, nobody is exempt). You spend the day washing and ironing and in the end you wind up with overly developed arms like Popeye. When I sit to talk to my friends about movies or television, if someone asks what my favorite program is, I answer "the delicate cycle." I don't go out because I fall asleep at the intersections. My foam party is the kids' bubble bath, and if they crowned me Miss Wet T-shirt, it would only be because of the number of loads of laundry I do. And let's not even talk about sex: when you have kids, your idea of having a good time between the sheets is building a fort in the living room, and "morning action" is preparing the pipsqueak's bottle. In Mother in Spain, I laugh about all this and much more because, let's admit it, children are wonderful, but much more so when they belong to someone else.
