"I write to immortalize my soul" This book is a testament of my "new normal." A tremendous journey can only be successful if you walk with amazing people. For my husband Scott, my daughters Nicole and Abigail. To my Mom, the strongest woman I know. For my sisters Lorilei and Lucinda. For those who stayed. Each poem in this collection is truly a piece of me - something I have lived, lost or felt. Born of my experiences and my imagination; inspired by a word, a song or a piece of art. Like a mother who takes pride in every milestone or first in their child's life, I too wear my heart on my sleeve with every word written. A special thank you to my very talented friend; Poet and Author, Ayo Carolyn Gutierrez-Abanggan for her unwavering commitment throughout my writing journey and giving so freely of her experience and time to mentor me.
