Nursing professionals can witness thousands of patient deaths in any given year. Although the impact of caring for a dying patient is substantial, the effect of the death on the caregiver is infrequently deliberated and often ignored. Dr. Chiana, through careful research and a calculated study, delve into the issue of how Nursing Practitioners deal with the loss of a patient, and the role a Chaplain should play in the process. The experiences of the author through the interaction with nursing professionals within the United States of America and the Jamaica context has personally motivated this book that seeks to answer pertinent questions and make recommendations that will boost an overall improvement in healthcare in Jamaica.
