This pretty little book is filled with paintings, poems and stories all of which came to me while painting in my studio over the years. My impressionistic style started as a young child after my parents took me to the Monet gardens and museum in Giverny, France. Over the years of painting I discovered that it was only worth doing if I was in a state of fun, joy or love. Whenever I painted in a state of confusion, worry or frustration the paintings themselves didn't work out, for whatever reason. It is almost as if the state of mind has a great deal to do with the outcome of things. It took me over ten years to realize that fun was the key to making paintings beautiful, and when I was more than certain of this, I change things around so that I was always in this great state of mind, at least while painting. I do however fall off the fun train from time to time but at least now I know, not to paint. So learn the best kept secret of the trade, paint in joy, and see the results. Looking at artwork that is done in a state of fun, joy or love is like taking a get well pill for everything. But don't believe me, look at the paintings and see for yourself.
