The latest edition of Antiquite Tardive brings together new work on the archaeology of early Christian churches from 4th to 7th centuries. Throughout western Europe, in the early medieval period, there were church sites which comprised several seperate churches. The twenty-seven articles look at archaeological, historical and liturgical isssues from an enormously wide area of Europe - Gaul, Italy, the Balkans, the Near East and North Africa.
