El autor presenta una amplia introducci n a la esencia de la moral cat lica, es decir, algo mucho m s all de las prohibiciones: la formaci n y ejercicio de la conciencia, la gracia, el pecado y la toma de decisiones. Enfatizar los aspectos "terrenales" del Reino de Dios y de la vida cristiana no equivale a decir que la meta sea convertirnos en activistas sociales. Muchos de nosotros podemos identificar importantes obligaciones morales surgidas de nuestra condici n de padres, hijos e hijas, hermanos y hermanas, amigos, trabajadores, etc. Algunos de nosotros estamos sanos, algunos sufrimos carencias y enfermedad. Algunos de nosotros gozamos de gran influencia en la vida p blica; muchos de nosotros, no. Nuestra colaboraci n con Dios para la realizaci n de su Reino puede variar significativamente de persona a persona.
