Kentucky Fried Boys is an unlikely love story. Runaway boys living on the streets of Hollywood have unlikely stories. "Listen to him. He's a long timer. A true survivor. You're going to be okay with him watching your back. You're lucky to know him, you know. I know I am. It's just too hard to make it on your own. Look at these kids here, James. How do think they'd be if they didn't have each other? If they were even more alone than they already are? I can't even let myself think about it anymore. Too many show up here all beat up, emotionally destroyed, half crazy, fully starving, and scared. That's what I hate the most. We're all so scared all of the time It's not right, is it? It's not fair for these kids to get lost, to run away without anybody coming to look for them. The saddest ones are the ones that get thrown away. Their families don't even want them. They don't even care that they're gone. Then they come to us here, and the next thing you know, they will never go home, or anyplace else, ever again."
