Portraying the discontinuity of the streets of Barcelona, of time, and, above all, of the existence of each one of its inhabitants, this noir novel turns the everyday into something epic. Five chapters contain five independent stories with characters that speak for themselves yet share the same tone, and the Gracia neighborhood serves as the main line that connects them. The plot revolves around a man named Jose Garcia, who is killed by his own son, also named Jose Garcia. The event is witnessed by a neighbor who bears the same name and is reminded of another murder he had seen years earlier in Italy.
