Crying is a natural response to many different emotions and can be beneficial for our mental, physical and spiritual health. Studies have found that people who cry often have lower levels of stress and are less likely to suffer from anxiety and depression. Crying can serve as a catalyst for profound self-reflection and spiritual growth which is what this book is all about. There is healing power in our tears which can come from open awareness of the state of our stained souls. We live in a sin-sick world and we are called to pray for others as well as ourselves to protect us from the temptations to sin dangled in front of us by the evil spirits.
