Jesus' Bar Mitzvah: Activity Book #4 has an accompanying storybook and is part of our growing series of fun and informative children's books. It is a companion to Jesus' Bar Mitzvah storybook. Each activity book contains coloring pages featuring the original story, a maze, word find, and fun writing activities that encourage young readers to be a part of the story and expand upon the lessons of helping, similarities, and fellowship.
Jesus' Bar Mitzvah introduces readers to Joey, Kristie, and Juan. They're young neighbors from different religious backgrounds. With the help of Rabbi Abraham and Father Ray, Joey shares some of his Jewish traditions and history with Kristie, who is a Christian, and Juan, who is Catholic. It's Joey's Bar Mitzvah, and after explaining his upcoming religious celebration, the kids question if young Jesus had a Bar Mitzvah too. With the help of Father Ray and Rabbi Abraham, everyone explores a possible answer. Jesus' Bar Mitzvah: Activity Book #4 is activity book number 4 of an upcoming series of books featuring more of Kristie, Joey's, and Juan's adventures. The goal of the Jewish Christian Discovery Center (JCDC) is simple: To reduce prejudice and anti-Jewish thoughts by educating Christians and Jews about their shared religious traditions. Our aim is the realization that we are all "spiritual siblings" connected by the Bible, shared history, and most significantly, through our expressions of faith. The biblical message of "Love Your Neighbor As Yourself" is our primary message.
