Inside the death fences of a maximum-security prison, new hire Caroline Giammanco is told by a coworker, "Sometimes the only way to tell the difference between the inmates and employees is by the color of their uniform." She would soon find out how true those words were.
That ominous warning would prove to be all too true as she entered the seedy world of prison. During her tenure, death threats, retaliation, and corruption became the backdrop of her life for over two years working inside a maximum-security men's prison.
