I Love Dead People: Inside the Minds of Death Fetishists explores individuals from a psycho-sexual perspective with an emphasis on how they have found freedom from real world suppression of their unusual fetish in an online community, and the journey from shame and guilt to self-acceptance and altruism towards others with similar tastes. Not only does it explore the intricacies of the online world of death fetishists as well as the private landscape of individuals who identify as having this paraphilia, but also provides, for the first time, a classification tool which aids medical and forensic professionals in identifying the possibility of acting out behavior. Such a tool has not been made available to these professions before. It distinguishes itself as not only being an academic exploration and classification of the paraphilia, but also is applicable to a real world use of diagnostics that can help determine the severity of the paraphilia and it's potential (or lack thereof) of harm.
