Go and Tell

This book is for everyone who is eager to obey the call of God for Evangelism. Though we may face challenges, God is able to deliver us from all negative forces and give us the faith to pursue His call. My true challenge began when I was called in 1987 to Neighborhood Evangelism, a task that I was unfamiliar with, but God trained me by putting me with the right people and inspiring me through the power of His Holy Spirit. Though unfamiliar, I was willing to do it because of the love I experienced from God at a time when I was deeply hurt emotionally and was engrossed in self-pity. His love and compassion to deliver me from such hurt inspired in me the desire to serve Him, at all cost, the rest of my life. Wherever I am called and whatever is God's plan, I am willing to follow them. Along with the call, I also developed a burden for those who are in spiritual darkness and needed to experience the love and grace through Jesus Christ. I could not rest any longer when I realized how crucial it was to obey Christ's command to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel..." So the journey began and I stepped out with others, formed teams in different Cities, trained them and ventured out as a group to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus a ministry was born which is named, Every City for Christ Ministries. Over the years, the teams have harvested many souls for God's kingdom. Today, after almost 30 years, the Ministry is still actively involved in evangelism and a book, Go and tell, has emerged to bless others. A unique and valuable product of my experiences, inspired and guided by the Lord, the book incorporates Biblical knowledge, thus replenishing the readers with spiritual wisdom and knowledge which are crucial to evangelism and for living a holy life-style. It is my desire and hope that what I have written on the pages of this book will reach the many who I cannot reach in person, and will covey to them the love and hope in Christ. I believe Its content will edify you to grow in the Word of God and become fruit-bearing Christians. Read it with an open heart, experience the love of the Master, and share His love, compassion and forgiveness with those around you. Evangelism is not difficult or complicated. This book will give you simple, easy steps to follow. It is also a 'How-to' manual which will guide you and train you to be effective in sharing the gospel. As a Preacher once said, "Evangelism is to simply tell others what you have experienced when you accepted Jesus." If God could train me who had no 'know-how' in evangelism, He will do it for you too. Step out willingly and keep going. The more you practice, the more you will reap the result. May you be blessed by this book. Evangelism is not just going and telling. It must display one's holy and Christ-centered lifestyle. The love and compassion of the Lord must come first to the listeners before the gospel. (Phil. 4:13). Hold on to this Word and by faith "Go and Tell" the good news of the gospel. Do not get discouraged because you did not harvest any soul. Jesus told us to go and share the gospel, but not save people. Harvesting is important but it is the work of the Holy Spirit, not ours. Yet, it is important to give the listeners an opportunity to make a decision. Eventually, you will harvest souls with confidence. Make prayer an integral part of the ministry outreach.
